Our next On-line Zoom meeting is scheduled for November 18th and will feature Peter Jennings who was originally scheduled to speak to us in May. Due to COVID, that meeting was cancelled and so we are very pleased that he can join us in this on-line event instead.
Peter is a renowned Canadian author, speaker and "Happiness Expert". He has written professionally for more than 40 years and is the author of 6 best selling books designed to "help people transform their existence, inspiring them to capitalize on the advantages life offers".
Prior to turning to writing full time in 2009, Peter spent his career in corporate communications in Toronto working with top-ranked businesses of all types and sizes, from McDonald’s, Procter & Gamble, IBM, etc., to niche start-ups. He has been a Guest Lecturer on marketing at Centennial College in Toronto and at the Government of Ontario’s Self Employment Assistance Program (where the students voted him 9 out of 10 for effective teaching).
Peter's talk will be about "Why Being Happy Matters": What happiness means, how it improves a person's outlook, adds value to their days and enhances their peace of mind. He also talks about why being happy is so important in a world often influenced by unhappy events along with heightened levels of stress and anxiety.
A subject that seems especially relevant in these difficult times!
