The Club's monthly meetings are a key part of the PROBUS experience. They allow the Management Committee to provide updates, and they enable all members to catch up with friends (old and new), discuss upcoming events and activities and to generally participate in the ongoing development of the club. Our monthly meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 10:00 a.m. to noon and there is a $2.00 charge for attending the meeting which helps cover the meeting expenses. Coffee will be served and members are encouraged to bring their own mugs.
Lakeside meetings always feature a guest speaker and this month will be no exception as we welcome Eileen Kennedy.
Eileen is currently employed as a Film and Television Industry Specialist within the Regional Municipality of Durham and is a certified Film Commissioner with the Association of Film Commissioners International. Focusing on film sector development since 2012, Eileen founded the “Film Durham” program and is the Founder and Director of the ‘Durham Region International Film Festival’.
Eileen will talk to us about these initiatives and resources and the economic benefits it is bringing to the area.
This meeting will be in Chestnut Hill Recreation Centre and you should plan to arrive in plenty of time as parking is often a challenge at the Complex.
