We believe that retirement is the time to reinvent yourself and do the things you never had time for when you were working. We strive to ensure our members can truly say - Retired and Loving It! Our membership waitlist is now open for Pickering residents, so tell your friends and family. If they are interested in joining the waitlist they can add their name by logging onto our clubs website (probuspickeringlakeside.ca) and follow the instructions. |

NOTICE: It is kindly requested that, if, before attending any of our activities or events you have any COVID or Flu symptoms eg: coughing, sore throat, headache, etc. that you please stay home. Masking is not mandatory but is highly recommended where possible. | Club News? The Management team has decided to increase the fee for guests to attend our monthly meetings in order to be inline with other Probus clubs. The guest fee will be $5 starting for our May meeting. We are adding a couple new fields in our registration process - Emergency Contact. We would encourage all our members to edit their profile by adding their Emergency Contact Person and contact and their phone number. With spring in the air (or maybe even a hint of summer!), the atmosphere is sure to be vibrant. So dust off your dancing shoes and get ready to enjoy the rhythm! Who knows, maybe they will even sing Sweet Caroline. I guarantee it will ball be So Good, So Good, So Good! Hope to see you there. Vintage Soul is a dynamic live duo showcasing the musical talents of Nick Reynolds and Cheryl Gow. Nick is a classically trained pianist with nearly twenty years of experience while Cheryl brings over four decades of performance expertise. Cheryl has fronted numerous bands and appeared in Toronto’s Theatre District in plays, cabarets, and more.One of the many benefits of membership is access to regularly scheduled gatherings of club members who share common interests. Some Activities are seasonal, while others run throughout the year. Providing a variety of activities gives members an opportunity to get to know each other better while doing something that they enjoy. We currently have over a dozen such groups in our club, like euchre, weekly group walks, book and movie clubs, golf, trivia and much more. Some local events include going to theatres and tourist attractions and visiting local restaurants for lunch or dinner. We educate as well as entertain by providing trips to museums, historic sites and tours of local businesses and industries. We come together annually to celebrate special times together like summer BBQ's and Holidays. These special events require advance registration and payment. | Durham Region Durham Region have prepared and issued an excellent Community Resource for Seniors & Older Adults Guide. Click here to view it. Discover Ontario’s Medical Expense and Senior’s Care at Home Tax Credit, PLUS a number of other personal and family related tax subjects. The Ministry of Finance provides many free webinars on many different topics like Estate planning, taxes for Seniors, understanding the Ontario benefits and credits for personal income tax, etc.. Attendees will also receive electronic handouts and get an opportunity to have their questions answered.
