    Our Next Speaker....

Our speaker for February is Angelica Ganea.

Angelica has always been an artistic spirit, attracted to music and poetry.  Before making her way to Canada at the age of 24, she was a child performer and rising star in the Romanian artistic world, active in both pop and music theatre.  In a world where art is often eclipsed by commercialism, Angelica remained faithful to her mission: to bring authentic beauty to people’s souls. Once in Canada, persistence and self-discipline became her closest companions over the next three decades, as she embarked on a journey of healing her heart and re-discovering her passion for music and writing. She graduated from Fitness at Seneca College in Toronto and worked in the wellness field for over a decade.  In parallel, she continued her artistic journey; writing books and releasing music that reflect her sensitivity and inner depth.  Her path was not easy.  She had to make her mark in an industry where success does not only come from talent, but also from perseverance.  However, Angelica carved out a place for herself, through the strength of her voice and heart.

When in 2019 she was asked to do a talk about her life journey, Angelica put together a one-woman show titled ‘The Story Behind My Song’.   In this song & storytelling show, Angelica takes her audiences with wit, humour and candour on a fascinating ride, ending with a powerful, unexpected message. "You shared with us a fascinating life journey and managed to redefine success for us all.", said Doreen Scott-Dunne, Program Director at Central Peel Mixed Probus Group of Canada.

Six years later, Angelica's ‘The Story Behind My Song’ is still receiving praises for its emotional impact and stunning vocal performance.   She will be performing this for us.

Angelica has both a YouTube channel  https://www.youtube.com/angelicaganea and a website called iamangelica.com.

Don't forget to register by clickiing here , you won't want to miss this one!

    Activities

One of the many benefits of membership is access to regularly scheduled gatherings of club members who share common interests.  Some Activities are seasonal, while others run throughout the year.

Providing a variety of activities gives members an opportunity to get to know each other better while doing something that they enjoy.  We currently have over a dozen such groups in our club, like euchre, weekly group walks, book and movie clubs, golf, trivia and much more.

Click on the header to go to the Activities page.

    Events

Our members enjoy a variety of social events.  Some local events include going to theatres and tourist attractions and visiting local restaurants for lunch or dinner.  We educate as well as entertain by providing trips to museums, historic sites and tours of local businesses and industries.  We come together annually to celebrate special times together like summer BBQ's and Holidays. These special events require advance registration and payment.

On this page you can also see details of multi-day trips and vacations organized especially for PROBUS Members.
